SUSAN MONAGHAN (Director) discovered her love of Theatre at Dalhousie University in the ’70s. Over the years she has acted in various community and semi-professional groups from Halifax to Vancouver, and has acted and directed locally on many stages including Ottawa Little Theatre, Tara Theatre, Nepean Little Theatre, The Lakeside Players, Carleton University and Ottawa University.
As of 1998 she settled happily with Kanata Theatre, and was first seen on the Ron Maslin stage as one of Edward Albee’s Three Tall Women. Since then she has appeared in The Uninvited, Over the River and Through the Woods, Caught in the Net and last year’s production of The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Her KT directing credits include The Curious Savage, To Forgive, Divine and Out of Sight. . . Out of Murder.
When not on stage Susan can be found working at front of house, or assisting with make-up, props, or stage management. She has also served on the Board of Kanata Theatre as Publicity Director and Director of Play Reading.

Her most recent appearance on the Kanata Theatre stage was as Polina in The Seagull. When not acting Susan enjoys directing, working at front of house, or assisting back stage. She will be directing Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks for the Kanata Theatre stage in February 2010.

SUSAN MONAGHAN (Dawn Shaw) has acted for years (too many to mention) in community and semi-professional groups from Halifax to Vancouver . Her most recent performance at Kanata Theatre was as Dolly the feisty TV show hostess in The Kitchen Witches. That same season she performed for Tara Players at The Arts Club as Nora Murphy in The Ballymore Reel. When not acting Susan enjoys directing, working as front of house personnel, or assisting back stage. She directed last season’s Kanata Theatre production of Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks in February 2010.

SUSAN MONAGAN (Mrs. Ethel Chauvenet) has acted in community and semi-professional groups from Halifax to Vancouver. Her last acting role was as Dawn the midwife in Kanata Theatre’s Having Hope at Home. Another recent appearance was as Dolly in The Kitchen Witches. Susan also had an opportunity to indulge her love of directing in this season’s first production Private Lives by Nöel Coward last September. When not acting or directing, Susan can be found working front of house or assisting back stage.

SUSAN MONAGHAN (Director) has directed Private Lives (2012), Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks (2010) and Here on the Flight Path (2006) for Kanata Theatre. As an actor, she was last seen on the Ottawa Little Theatre stage in 2015 playing Sarah Turing, Alan Turing’s mother in Breaking the Code. A member of Kanata Theatre since 1998, she has been fortunate to appear in such varied roles as the 91 year old “A” in Edward Albee’s Three Tall Women(1998), to the indomitable Dolly the TV chef in Kitchen Witches (2009) and Dawn the midwife in Having Hope at Home (2010).
