Kanata Theatre is proud to host the 2026 Eastern Ontario Drama League One-Act Festival, bringing community theatre companies from across Eastern Ontario together for two exciting days of live theatre.

What is the EODL?
The Eastern Ontario Drama League (EODL) has been supporting community theatre across Eastern Ontario since 1933. For more than 90 years, it has encouraged artistic excellence, theatre education and collaboration among theatre organizations throughout the region.
Festivals are an important part of that tradition, giving community theatre companies the opportunity to perform, learn from one another and celebrate the extraordinary range of theatre being created across Eastern Ontario.
Ticket Sales
The festival is presented in three sessions, giving you the choice of joining us for one session or experiencing the entire festival.
Individual Session: $25
Three-Session Festival Package: $60
Purchase the Three-Session Festival Package and you’ll also get a vote in the People’s Choice Award, giving you the chance to choose your favourite production of the festival.
Tickets are currently available for advance purchase exclusively to Festival participants and EODL members using their pre-sale code.

What is a One-Act Festival?
A one-act play tells a complete story in a single act, making it possible to experience several completely different productions in one festival.
Over two days, nine theatre companies will take the stage at Kanata Theatre, each presenting its own one-act production.
Audiences can expect an eclectic mix of theatre, with comedy, drama and everything in between. Different companies, different performers and different stories make every trip to the theatre a new experience.
Whether you join us for a single session or immerse yourself in the whole festival, the EODL One-Act Festival is a chance to discover new theatre, support community artists and experience the creativity of Eastern Ontario’s vibrant theatre community.
